What the yard is

Idle Pet Shelter is a casual game from WESSELITE LIMITED. You clean kennels, feed guests, and look after a sunny shelter yard.

The yard is fictional. It is not a real adoption service, a rescue service, a medical service, or a place that takes donations.

The first visit has three short lessons. Clean a messy kennel first. Feed a hungry guest. A clean empty kennel can welcome the next waiting guest.

During a shift

Zones open in order. Sunny Kennels and Meadow Yard come first. Lantern Wing and Quiet Garden stay locked until earlier yard work is done.

A shift lists care goals, such as cleaning pads, feeding guests, and boarding waiting pets. While the shift is open you can Clean, Feed, or check a guest in.

You can pause. The yard stays where you left it until you resume, restart, or leave.

A finished shift can award stars, coins, a care item, and a new guest in the album. If guests still need care, the shift is incomplete and you can try it again.

Between shifts

The album keeps the guests you have already met.

Helpers can be assigned to cleaning, feeding, or the desk. They act on a cooldown during a shift, and they add yard coins while you are away.

Coins earned while you are away can be claimed when you return. The yard caps that away time at eight hours. Coins are spent inside the game on yard upgrades. They are not money, and they are not a donation.

Three care items can be used in a shift. Clean Spray makes one messy kennel clean. Treat Pouch feeds one hungry guest. Quick Clip welcomes the next guest into a clean empty kennel.

Daily intake is one local challenge for that day. The best result for the day is kept, and the daily reward is claimed once.

Sunny is the first decor theme. Meadow can be opened. Lantern asks for stars before it can be applied.

Care quests follow yard tasks such as cleaning kennels, boarding pets, and finishing the daily intake.

On the device

Version 1.0 saves progress, settings, and shelter activity on the device. The game uses that information to restore the yard and to calculate saved progress when you return. The yard described here does not ask for an account.

Sound settings cover effects, haptics, and reminders. Wiping the yard clears shifts, coins, helpers, pets, and themes from the device.

If a save does not finish, the current shift stays on screen until you try the save again or start fresh.
